Duet has USB midi host option only and I wanted to be able to connect to Midi DIN devices. The MIO works perfectly in this regard e.g. Beatstep Pro connected to MIO/Duet/iPad and at the same time Beatstep connects to Windows DAW via USB. So impressed, I bought a second one.to use with an older iPad.
Pros: Works flawlessly, solves an issue I had with the Duet (make it Midi DIN compatible) and build quality seems excellent. Cons: Price is higher than other equivalent devices.
