I dont have experience with Macros; all I can really do in Excel is basic formulas and stuff so please bear with me. Here is the error message those is popping up: Compile error in hidden module: 'modProtectWB'. This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, platform, or architecture of this application. Its a big excel sheet with many input fields, and the error message pops up when a 'Prepare Summary' is pressed at the bottom of the sheet; i assume this is a custom macro of some kind.

I tried to do the same operation on my PC and it works. My mom uses a Mac. Is there any way to make this work her on Mac? Perhaps the author could have wrote the code in a way to make it work on more than just the Windows platform?

I would think it would work on any Excel but I guess not, and like I said I dont have much experience with this stuff. Any help appreciated!

I am using mac OS X Sierra with Mac for Ecel 2016 and python 3.6. I am trying to launch a python script from excel because: • I already have an excel with a lot of functionalities and I would like to add some features to this product using Python. • The users of my product won't be comfortable launching python scripts from a python console, so I'd like to have some kind of excel user interface. I am providing this background because I am open to suggestions on how to do differently. From my researches so far, it seems that this can be done using the xlwings library.
