An investigator with the Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn Unit told Action News Now a man was operating equipment outside without proper protection. The location of the fire was off Apple Road near Paskenta Road. Three homes and two out building were destroyed.

The Apple Fire is now 2,500 acres and 60% contained. CAL FIRE is reporting erratic winds over the fire area. 5 residential structures and 3 outbuildings were destroyed.
