After following instructions and installing the driver monitor powered up but was not recognized by laptop. The ASUS tech support was little help apple as it appeared they were simply reading off of a troubleshooting list rather than possing a working knowledge when it came to at least apple computers. Downloaded the latest high sierra update then the monitor worked once and a few days later when I plugged in the monitor it powered up like the initial attempt but was not recognized by my mac. Disappointed and annoyed by the incompetence of ASUS tech support.
